Our projects benefit from our many long-term partnerships and strategic relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Through our related entities, we can meet all of our clients’ needs for plant and equipment hire, horizontal directional drilling, and service locating internally without involving a third-party contractor.
Platinum Plant and Equipment Hire provides a full range of plant, equipment and labour hire services including:
Wet Hire: Platinum’s team specialises in operating within live and densely populated environments. Its ability to match operator and equipment to the job at hand ensures machines are operated with higher productivity and safety and removes the need for clients to retain licensed plant operators.
Dry Hire: Platinum’s fleet ranges from various sizes of excavators, trucks, loaders and graders, to vacuum trucks and directional drills, to small equipment and tools.
Maintenance: Platinum maintains its fleet internally and also provides a 24-hour maintenance service for its clients’ fleets, ranging from servicing private and company vehicles to heavy machinery maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Transport: Platinum can deliver any item of machinery to site, regardless of location or the size of equipment.
MME Underground Services specialises in the installation of underground infrastructure by trenchless technologies and civil construction methods. It can deliver any underground infrastructure project, regardless of scope complexity, location, or other site constraints. MME’s capabilities Cover:
Horizontal Directional Drilling: Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) provides a trenchless solution for the installation of pipelines, conduits and cables primarily for water, power, gas and communication services. The technology provides advantages over conventional excavation methods by reducing site footprint with minimal disruption to traffic, low costs, short completion times, and low risk to personal safety and the environment.
Flexi Drilling: MME owns and operates Western Australia’s only flexi drilling machinery, enabling access to high-risk, difficult projects and confined areas such as narrow streets and building sites within heavily congested residential and commercial locations.
Earthing: MME owns and operates a 4×4 mounted down the hole drill able to carry out earthing projects in any location. Earthing enables grounded protection of electronic infrastructure such as power poles, transformers and substation equipment. MME can drill holes and install earth rods in sand, clay, rock and granite.
Western Power Panel Contracts: MME has been a Western Power preferred vendor for Distribution Network Support Services (DNSS) Projects since 2002 and for Customer-Funded Works Panel Projects since 2015. Civcon is the Australian provider of leading speed bump technology, Actibumps. Developed by Swedish traffic system developer, Edeva, the Actibump utilise sensor technology to leave the road level for vehicles driving at, or under, the legal speed limit while speeding vehicles activate a hatch, integrated into the road, that lowers a few centimetres creating an inverted speedbump. This serves to increase road safety and accessibility while lowering vehicle emissions and noise. Key features of the Actibump include:
Only speeding vehicles are affected;
Creates an even traffic flow with less emissions;
Encourages drivers to stay within the speed limit; and
Allows full access for buses and emergency vehicles.
