Project overview

Civcon delivered the Belmont Park Redevelopment across two stages, a transit-oriented development of high-density residential, retail, hospitality and commercial land beside Perth's Optus Stadium and Crown resort.

Stage 1 delivered key civil, services, foreshore, bridge and landscape packages to support six super lots on the racecourse's south-east side, with temporary services maintaining uninterrupted operations for adjacent businesses throughout. Stage 2 extended roads, drainage and underground services through the next release of the precinct.

Scope of works

  • Demolition and clearing works
  • Substantial bulk and detailed earthworks, 150,000 tons of imported fill
  • Temporary services maintaining operations for adjacent businesses
  • 1.4km DN400 water distribution main and 260m DN300 PVC
  • Wastewater pumping station with overflow storage, pressure mains and gravity sewer
  • 1.7km of drainage, stormwater systems, underground storage and junction pits
  • Underground HV and LV power, NBN and telecommunications
  • Lot reticulation: drainage, water, sewer, gas, electrical and irrigation
  • Limestone and concrete retaining walls to 2.2m with stairs, ramps and handrails
  • 18,000m² of new internal roadworks, asphalt, kerbing and traffic furniture
  • Two-lane divided bridge to MRWA specification with precast T-Roff beams
  • Riverbank upgrades including rock revetment and landscaping
