Project overview

The Bunbury Racecourse Redevelopment project included a new turf racing track, horse stalls, a raceday pavilion and an all-weather trial and training track, with the upgrades to support the future of racing in Western Australia and deliver economic benefits to the local community.

Civcon was awarded a substantial portion of the works, focusing on the redevelopment of the racing and training tracks and construction of an Ambulance service road.

  • Concrete sleeper retaining walls
  • Course proper track construction
  • Fibresand track construction
  • Ambulance track construction
  • Construction of a 8950m3 sand jog track
  • Construction of a new 4500m3 storage dam
  • Installation of a fully automated irrigation system
  • Chain mesh fencing
  • Electrical services installation
  • New track lighting installation
  • Relocation and installation of two steward towers
