Project overview

Civcon were appointed by the Water Corporation to undertake this contract which includes the installation of a new water distribution main and associated infrastructure within in Ellenbrook. The works were predominantly located on Lord Street and Park Street, and the scope included the manufacture, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of water infrastructure assets, as well as the restoration of excavated and disturbed facilities.

Scope of works

  • Establishment and control of survey marks and all survey and setting out work
  • Verification of the integrity of all existing infrastructure connection work
  • Commissioning Plan to identify and schedule all Verification, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning work activities and associated documentation
  • Excavation of pipe trenches and associated earthworks associated
  • Supply and installation of approximately 2950 metres of DN500 MSCL pipe and approximately 30 metres of DN400 MSCL pipe
  • Supply and installation of valves, and associated fittings and pits
  • Supply and installation of approximately 35 metres of DN300 MSCL pipe, DI pipe fittings and MSCL pipe fittings
  • Management of Acid Sulphate Soils and Dewatering
  • Pre-commissioning, including associated activity schedules, test reports and a consolidated summary report that details all pre-commissioning work activities and outcomes
  • Pipeline pressure testing and disinfection
  • Site restoration, reinstatement and disposal of surplus excavated material
