Project overview

Civcon were engaged by the Water Corporation to undertake the Kings Park Outlet Main Renewals project, focused on the replacement and renewal of distribution water mains within Kings Park. The project aimed at enhancing the water infrastructure while adhering to stringent environmental regulations and minimising disruption to the surrounding areas.

Scope of works

Scope of works

  • Installation of approximately 600m of DN1000 and DN1200 MSCL water main
  • Micro tunnelling for 70m of DN1500 mains
  • Replacement of existing valves within an existing 8m deep concrete shaft and installation of new valves along the mains
  • Concrete encasement of mains
  • Roadway and drainage construction
  • SCADA and Electrical installation
  • Tie-in new DN1000 and DN1200 mains to existing mains at 5 locations within the grounds of Kings Park
  • Testing and commissioning
