Project overview

Civcon was awarded this project to upgrade the drainage infrastructure at the southbound departure leg and northbound entry leg of the Mandjoogoordap Drive Roundabout. The works were undertaken to improve the performance and reliability of the existing drainage system while maintaining the safe operation of one of the region’s busiest road networks.

Scope of works

  • Removal of existing ACO kerb on both carriageways
  • Installation of reinforced semi-mountable kerbing
  • Removal of existing brick paved footpaths
  • Construction of reinforced concrete footpaths
  • Installation of reinforced concrete drainage pits and associated drainage pipework
  • Traffic management and staged night works to minimise disruption to road users
