Project overview

Civcon were engaged by the City of Wanneroo to deliver the Service Upgrade works along Brazier Road, Yanchep. The project formed part of the Yanchep Foreshore Development Stage 1 and involved upgrading existing infrastructure to support future development and improve public safety. Key works included upgrading street lighting to current standards and installing critical underground services to service the growing area.

Scope of works

Upgrade of existing street lighting
Installation of underground services including NBN communications, ATCO gas, and Western Power HV and LV electrical services
Construction of shared/common service trenches to minimise disruption
Installation of services in separate alignments where required due to site constraints
Horizontal directional drilling (drill shots) for road crossings to avoid open trenching
Installation of new electrical substation
Installation of NBN pits
Excavation, trenching, backfilling and reinstatement works
Traffic management and site establishment
