Project overview

Civcon were engaged by the Water Corporation to execute the Sorrento St Helier Dr Pressure Main Upgrade project, an essential infrastructure project required to be undertaken to ensure the reliability of water supply for the area.

Scope of works

Scope of works

  • Survey, setting out and control of survey marks
  • Location and protection of existing services
  • Health, safety and environmental management including protection of existing trees and Arborist engagement
  • Coordination with authorities and stakeholders
  • Photographic records of sites before construction
  • Traffic management and approvals
  • Verification of existing infrastructure connections
  • Pre-commissioning activities and testing
  • Excavation of pipe trenches
  • Supply and installation of 900m of OD250 PN20 HSCR PE100 pipe by trenchless techniques
  • Supply and installation of valves and fittings
  • Backfilling and compaction of trenches, temporary removal and replacement of stormwater pits and pipework
  • Pipeline pressure testing, connections of the new pressure main and commissioning
  • Restoration of all disturbed verges, crossovers and road pavement to the City of Joondalup standards
